Jack O'Rourke

Hi, I’m Jack, and I’m proud to call Northern Colorado home. Born in Louisville and raised in Niwot, Colorado, and now living in Longmont, I have deep roots in the communities I serve. Growing up here gave me a genuine appreciation for the people, neighborhoods, and lifestyle that make Northern Colorado such a special place to live. As a Coldwell Banker real estate agent, I’m committed to providing honest guidance, personalized service, and a smooth, stress-free experience for every client.

Before entering real estate, I built a successful career in sales in Fresno, California, and St. George, Utah, where I also founded and operated an AI software company. Earlier, I spent two years playing junior hockey across Maine, Ontario, Canada, Idaho, and Pueblo. Those experiences taught me discipline, teamwork, and the value of hard work. Along the way, I developed strong communication skills, a solutions-focused mindset, and a passion for helping people achieve their goals.

When I’m not working with clients, you’ll find me spending time with family and friends, hiking Colorado trails, fishing, or getting back on the ice for a hockey game. Whether you're buying your first home, selling a property, or growing your investment portfolio, I’m dedicated to helping you navigate every step with confidence and success.

For Sellers

What are the reasons for selling?

A savvy agent will ask you some questions about your decision to sell your home.

  • Why do you want to sell your property?
  • Do you need a larger or smaller property?
  • Are you moving to another school district, neighborhood, city, or state?

These answers may be self-evident to you, but it's certainly worth a discussion before anyone is talking about price and marketing and such. Of course, how much you realize in your pocket from a sale might enter into your thinking. But we feel that all the reasons financial, geographical, and emotional need to be explored by the broker and client early on.

Early on in the process, you and your agent should establish the best time frame for your sale. Seasonality is a big part of real estate. The market changes from month to month and season to season. A seasoned broker will understand the tone and tenor of the marketplace with respect to timing so you can realize the most stress-free transaction. There is a favorable time to sell in your market, and your broker should be able to address this question.

Without a doubt, this seems to be the most misunderstood aspect of a home sale that brokers don't understand. A serious consideration of your current and expected future financial condition needs to be assessed before a serious conversation should be engaged about a home sale. Our team can effectively measure the cumulative effect of the net proceeds of your sale on your situation. It is not as cut and dried as it may seem. We understand some aspects of tax planning, and estate planning, and have a team of advisors at the ready to help you with these questions. We ensure that you will take control of your financial situation with any sale we take on for you.

For Buyers

Buying a home for most people is one of the largest transactions

Buying a home is one of the most significant financial and emotional decisions you'll make. It's not just about finding the right house-it's about making informed choices that will impact your future for years to come. From navigating complex financial considerations to understanding market trends and managing the details, having a knowledgeable and dedicated guide by your side can make all the difference.

The right real estate agent should not only help you find the perfect home but also ensure you feel confident every step of the way. When choosing an agent, consider:

  • Do they take the time to listen to you and truly understand your needs?
  • Are they responsive and available when you need them?
  • Do they have deep local knowledge and access to opportunities beyond what's publicly listed?
  • Can they provide insight into the financial aspects of your purchase to help you make the best decision for your future?
  • Are they continuously learning and staying ahead of market trends?

My approach is simple: I treat your home purchase with the same care and diligence as if it were my own. My goal is to take the stress out of the process, provide clear guidance, and help you find a home that aligns with both your lifestyle and financial goals.

Let's connect and see if I'm the right fit to help you on your home-buying journey. I'd love to hear what's most important to you and how I can support you in making the best possible move.
